Babak M. Khoshroo

I am a philosopher, software engineer, and data analyst. I received my Ph.D. in Philosophy and MS in Data Science and Analytics from the University of Oklahoma in 2023. I completed my BS and MS in computer engineering in Iran and my MA in Philosophy at the University of Florida. My research focuses on the philosophy of music, auditory perception and the ontology of sounds, and the ethics of AI. I am an amateur musician: singing and playing Persian classical music is a beloved hobby that led me to study philosophy…!

When not doing philosophy and programming, I enjoy spending time with my family, singing and playing with my daughter, reading novels, and watching movies.
